Map of Nuclear Explosions, 1945-1998

This is rather disturbing as it puts the previous few generations of nuclear detonations in context.

I had no idea there were that many explosions carried out on the surface of the earth. Just as an anecdotal observation, these 'tests' are in the same regions of the earth as the biggest holes in the Ozone Layer of the atmosphere. Yeah, remember that? Coincidence? The real cause of global warming? Who the H knows...

This map doesn't include all the subcritical tests (explosions that do not produce a sustained nuclear chain reaction) in the last few years.
