Like a zombie this just keeps coming back (emphasis mine):
As written, the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership Treaty) destroys the concept of fair use by only allowing for very specific exceptions to copyright law, such as short quotes for news purposes or education tools. The right to resell something you’ve purchased? Gone. Parody and satire, or other transformational uses? Gone. It currently contains language indicating that temporary copies made without copyright holder’s express permission are also infringement, thus ignoring the fundamental way computers work — or at least criminalizing it.
Somebody shoot it in the head already!!
