For years I have worked as a freelance Graphic Designer & Animator. I have managed to stay busy despite being in a business that exists in short term contracts. I have a good reputation and maintain a high level of quality with every job, even with deadlines looming. I am a mature and adaptable problem solver with a versatile skill set, whether that includes pencil & paper or computers. I am passionate about what I do and how I do it.

I'm currently part-time faculty teaching in Seneca's famed Animation program. I'm also developing curriculum for second and third year courses. I love it and plan on more for the future.
Alberta University of The Arts — December 2022 to July 2023 - Course Building; Intermediate Hand-drawn Animation
I developed an online Micro-credential Course that includes video demos, Powerpoints and related material for Intermediate Classical Animation.
Yowza! Animation — November 2019 to September 2022 - Layout & Animation Supervisor, Senior Layout Artist
Shows included “Nature Cat” for PBS, WB’s “Animaniacs”, Netflix’s “Green Eggs and Ham”.
Charlotte Productions — July 2019 to November 2019 - Senior Layout Artist
Tasked as Senior Layout Artist on a small team working on the feature film Charlotte, which premiered at TIFF in September 2021.

Hired primarily as Location Designer, but the need to fill-in multiple positions on Nickelodeon's Blue's Clues & You arose.

I freelanced on a production pitch that required three backgrounds/location designs and a vehicle design.
Smiley Guy Studios — July 2017 to March 2018 - Layout and Background Supervisor and Artist
I worked on 2 productions here: Corner Gas Animated as a layout and background artist. But most of my time was dedicated to the first Hatchimals web series. I did the layout for the entire show and supervised the background painting. I worked from concepts to solidify the environment for the series and set the style guide. I supervised up to 5 other artists.
Yowza! Animation — February 2016 to July 2017 - Senior Layout Artist 
Kind of old school with a heavy dose of the new. Nickelodeon’s Welcome to The Wayne will be a stunner to look at. As a layout artist, I make sense of the storyboards, draw the BG, place characters and field guides, then hand it off to scene planning and BG paint.
